Channey John said that INE intends to bring the national statistics closer to the target audience through a briefing, which should address the process of compiling and processing statistical data, allowing the public to question in methodological terms.

The approximation with the public will bring greater transparency in the process of national statistical compilation, the official said.

On the occasion, the Secretary of State for Planning, Milton Reis, said that the new management was appointed with the aim to improve coordination between the different official statistical producing bodies.
