State Secretary defends adapted teaching models

Dundo - The secretary of State for Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Eugénio Silva, defended last Sunday the creation of a new model of teaching and learning in universities, adapted to the current epidemiological scenario, marked by the covid-19 pandemic.

The State secretary was speaking at the opening of the conference on the challenges of universities in pandemic periods, promoted by Lueji A’nkonde University to commemorate its 11 years of existence.

He also defended the need for the existence of adequate infrastructures for the current context, as well as the use of technologies capable of ensuring the referred model, which includes aggregating the modalities of classroom, semi-classroom and distance learning.

In view of the pandemic situation, he said, higher education institutions should promote precise and specific actions to continue to provide training for Angolans.

The participants in the colloquium addressed topics such as information and communication technologies, learning strategies and teaching methodologies adapted by lecturers in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic.
