President praises solidarity show in support for musician Sebem

Luanda - Angolan Head of State João Lourenço welcomed Saturday a solidarity live show performed in favour of the musician Sebem, who was instrumental in Angola’s kuduro musical style.

Joao Lourenço praised all the musicians who joined the show in solidarity of Sebem, stressing that the event was a noble gesture of the Angolan kuduro musicians (makers of this music genre). 

“The kuduro is ours, it is Angolan music and makes us feel proud. The happiness is what we want”, the statesman tweeted, alluding to the most popular music of Sebem, titled “Felicidade”.  

Out of the stage since 2013, due to illness, Sebem is author of various themes, with stress to “Felicidade, Coveiro Filipado, Kandimba, Bandeiroso and Tua Boca é Esquadra.

“I Wish him (Sebem) much health”, the president concluded his message at the end of the event held in honour to the singer, jointly sponsored by TV Zimbo television and Platina Line website. 

The live show joined singers such as Rey Tanice, Katana, Zoca Zoca, Agre G and Puto Lilas.
