The assurance came from the incumbent minister of the sector, Manuel Tavares de Almeida.

This  was at the closing ceremony of the II Consultative Council of the sector held Monday in Lubango, southern Huila province.

Addressing the meeting which marked the Angolan Builder's Day, 3 December, the official called on the technicians to adapt to the new State policies.

The minister added that a "good" executive project should govern the tendering process and allow a planning of fair budget in both sides.

He considered the construction and public works sector stable in the last three years, despite the fall in the oil price in the international market.

In his address, the minister put growth rate at 2 percent, and predicted a 2 percent increase for 2019.

He went on saying that the performance of this sector is closely associated with the dynamics of capital spending which, in the last five years, reduced the sector's Public Investment Programme Budget by one-fifth - from USD 4 billion, to USD 800 million.
