The appeal was made Friday by State Secretary for Construction, Manuel José Costa Molares D'Abril at the Workshop on Techniques and Technologies used in the fight against ravines.

He described the combined effort as crucial, adding that such an attitude is important so that one does not continue to witness the progression of this phenomenon with the feeling of not stopping it.

Manuel D'Abril acknowledged that construction activity is one of the main causes of ravine in Angola.

According to him, poor planned project or construction often leads to the emergence or acceleration of soil erosion phenomena.

He announced the Ministry of Construction and Public Works’ plan to promote studies on solutions to the country's financial capacity to contain ravines, where the phenomenon occurs regularly.
