The works, which are taking place under the Integrated Plan of Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM), are still in their initial phase.

Currently, the work consists of replacing the soil after the cleaning of the first ten kilometres of the section has been completed.

According to the head of the company in charge of earthmoving work, Paulo Jorge, it is intended, with the exchange of the soils, to respond to an orientation of the inspection and the Balombo Administration.

The local administration, owner of the work, demands intervention at this level, to ensure greater durability of the road now intervened.

The contractor announced that, in parallel, another 14 kilometres of tertiary roads will be levelled in some neighbourhoods of Balombo's municipal headquarters, with the aim of improving vehicle circulation conditions.
