Covid-19: Commission redoubles awareness actions

Ondjiva -The Provincial Multi-Sector Commission to Combat Covid-19 in the southern Cunene Province continues to reinforce awareness campaigns against the disease, in neighbourhoods and informal markets.

The province of Cunene has 109 positive cases of Covid-19, with 4 recoveries and 105 diseased.

Speaking to ANGOP, the Commission's spokesman in Cunene, Félix Belarmino, said that due to the increase in cases, there is a need to reinforce measures, the ways of preventing Covid-19 infections.

He reiterated the necessity of using the mask, washing and disinfecting the hands and respect social distancing.

Félix Belarmino stressed that everyone must be involved in the fight against the “invisible enemy”, to help the government maintain control of the virus transmission chain.

Cunene currently has seven institutional quarantine centres.
