For the Cabinet minister, who was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Walter Earl Strangway Provincial Hospital, these actions should at least influence people's daily lives, leading them to acquire skills for an informed, conscious choice in the fight against Covid-19.

She stressed that the country continues to face the Covid-19 pandemic, so the new hospital will certainly ensure a better approach to diagnosis and case management caused by this lethal, invisible enemy, who "teaches us every day to be humble and for whom standardised treatment has not yet been found".

According to Sílvia Lutucuta, whatever is done, regarding preventive education, must involve the community, stressing that the intersectorality always implies the fulfillment of biosecurity measures, avoiding crowds.

She also called on the population of Bié to take an active part in the conservation and preservation of another social equipment placed at their disposal.

Located in the Caluapanda district, five kilometres south of the city of Cuito (capital of the province of Bié), the new hospital, which covers an area of 50,000 square metres, cost 48.6 million euros, financed by the French Bank Société Générale.
