The plan to promote bilateral, multilateral and multisectoral cooperation with a view to establishing partnerships will intervene in key areas, as well as cross-cutting issues in the environment, health, youth and sport, women's advancement, information technology and communication.

According to the permanent secretary of the national commission for Unesco, Alexandre Costa, it is essential to develop in the medium term a network of cooperation for the exchange of experience in the fields of organization and in response to the challenges that it is proposed to achieve.

He informed that the goals for this year are to meet the objectives outlined in the National Development Plan (NDP), taking into account the 2019 plan and governance.

Alexandre Costa said that the plan is to adapt UNESCO’s organic statute (approved in 1990 by Presidential Decree 18/90) to national reality and create a mechanism for interaction and proximity to related sectors.

He added that a Unesco website was created and will be launched in the first half of February 2019.
