Among the new services of the only news agency in the country it is included the possibility of live streaming of multimedia content via Streaming stands out.

According to Angop CEO, Josué Isaías, the portal also features a classifieds service, a closed space for the payment of services.

"We want to mark the festivities with the launch of the new portal, which brings greater responsibility, opening up a greater space in providing more services to users, such as news, reports, interviews, videos, photos, with easier search and open to social media ", said  the manager, regarding this new bet.

In addition to purely journalistic content, the new portal allows users to more closely monitor the weather and currency exchange information.

It also allows the Internet user to follow, in real time, complete information about the global financial markets, in particular the price of a barrel of oil.

According to Josué Isaías, Angop is currently experiencing a moment of transformation, both technical and social, whose aim is to improve the social conditions of the workers, and to improve the quality of the product made available to users.

The company was created in July 1975 under the name of Agência Nacional Angola Press (ANAP). At that time, its work was distributed in the form of a newsletter.

In October of the same year, ANGOP adopted its current and definitive name, Angola Press Agency , on the proposal of the then President of the Republic, António Agostinho Neto, and launched, on the 30th of that month, the first bulletin with the new acronym.

Three years later, on February 2, 1978, the agency was transformed into a state media body, with the publication of presidential decree 11/78, of February 2, in the State Gazeta.

From there, the foundations were laid for its growth and development, which would come to know golden moments in the 1980s. At that time, ANGOP already had around 300 workers, most of them journalists, with uninterrupted work, 24 hours a day,  throughout the country (18 provinces) and with five delegations abroad (Portugal, Brazil, United Kingdom, Zimbabwe and Congo).

In 2013, it entered into a technological and human environment in constant transformation and updating, in line with the modernity of the means of telecommunications and mass media, factors that contribute to the realization of its great challenge and dream, that of becoming a great multimedia company.
