Covid-19: Four DRC nationals detained for disobedience

Mbanza Kongo - Four neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) nationals were detained for disobedience on Sunday in Soyo municipality market, northern Zaire province.

According to a press release from the police in the region, the detainees were approached by officers for not wearing face mask and resisting detention.

The note states that the detainees refused to wear face masks arguing that the use of them in public places in their country was not compulsory.

The source further says that the detainees were also found to be living in Angola illegally.
