Father beheads five-year old son in Lubango

Lubango - A 35 year-old farmer with supposed mental disorders has been detained since Sunday in the city of Lubango, in the province of Huila, accused of killing his five year-old son using a machete.

The information was provided Monday, by the acting spokesman of the National Police in Huila, deputy chief Fernando Tongo, who said that the crime took place on Sunday morning in the town of Luyovo, where the accused, a peasant, lives with his wife.

"The underage was in the company of relatives playing, when the accused appeared and began to threaten the child with a machete, having dealt a fatal blow to the minor's neck, who died immediately", he stressed.

The official made it known that the accused is in police custody to be later referred to a psychiatry for assessment of his mental state.
