The Ferryboat with 48 meters long and a maximum speed of 20.5 nautical miles per hour, has capacity for 60 passengers, 9 containers and 10 vehicles.

The vessel will serve the Luanda-Soyo-Cabinda sea route, with a yearly transportation forecast of 24,960 passengers and 51,168 tons of various products.

According to a note that Angop had access, the vessel came aboard the ship BBC Parana.

This is an order from the Angolan government to ensure the maritime route between Luanda and the enclave of Cabinda.

Acquired under a construction and supply contract signed between IMPA, representing the Ministry of Transport, and DAMEN, it will transport, besides passengers, light vehicles, trucks, containers, equipment and general cargo.

The aim of this acquisition is to overcome the geographical discontinuity of Cabinda and improve the living conditions of the populations and the economy of that part of the Angolan territory.
